Club Announcement – Help Shape the Future of Walshestown FC

Over the past few years, Walshestown FC has continued to grow. Our membership has increased by almost 50%, and with that success comes new challenges. Between league requirements, FAI commitments, and the day-to-day running of the club, the workload has grown far beyond what our current small committee can manage alone.
We’re proud of how far the club has come, but to keep things running smoothly and to continue offering opportunities for children of all abilities, we need more people to get involved in 2026.

We completely understand that everyone leads busy lives with family, work, and other commitments. But even the smallest bit of help makes a huge difference. Whether it’s serving tea at our Christmas party, helping with fixture communication, pitch maintenance, assisting with our Football for All programme for children with special needs, or lending a hand at club events every bit of support helps keep the club running for our children and the next generation

You can choose to join the full committee if that’s something you’d like to do, but you don’t have to. We understand that monthly meetings and full commitments don’t suit everyone.
What we’re really hoping to do is build a small team of people we can call on for support when needed. By sharing the load, we can keep the club strong, support our young players, and make sure every child in our community continues to have a place to play, learn, and belong.
