Walshestown Football Club was established in 1992. The club came from humble beginnings, playing in a borrowed field catering for thirty children but now has more than 400 members including two Senior teams and over 350 juvenile boys & girls participating in all the club's activities.

Today, the club has a Clubhouse with four changing rooms, referee facilities, and catering facilities. Walshestown FC has three playing pitches, ( two full-sized and one 7-a-side ) and two training areas with floodlighting.

Located in the townland of Rinkinstown, just off the Dunleer to Clogherhead Road ( R170 ). Walshestown FC is situated approximately 15Km North East of Drogheda Town and 6km East of Dunleer.
